Martin has started his career in the kitchen in Germany, where he was cooking in a small family restaurant. That was the place where he learnt how it’s different to cook with fresh ingredients. He was curious and with energy to learn new things in his field, hence he changed his location and moved to Austrian Alps, where he worked in 4* hotel Schwarzer Adler. Before he started his Swiss experience, he passed by his home country and for some time he cooked in Krčma Středověk. While working in Autogrill Schweiz he has realized that even big kitchen can be effective and provide tasty meals with use of fresh ingredients. Finally he has decided to utilize experiences from abroad in his home place. He became chef in several restaurants however he still felt passion for hotel industry, where he could better present his skills. He was chef in hotel Mercure **** in Ostrava before he finally anchored at Raztoka***
And what he says about his job at Raztoka***:
As far as I am active sportsman, I love mountains, going running regularly and often riding bike, I got immediately excited about work in foothill of Pustevny. It was a big challenge for me. To be honest, I did not have any idea about the kitchen at Raztoka. I have chance to experiment and employ new ideas while preparing various meals, and all this is thanks to our management approach, which I really appreciate. I have prepared new menu and my priority is to use top quality and fresh ingredients.
I believe we have managed to maintain acceptable prices of our meals so our courses are available to everyone. Main dishes cost between 80 Kč to 180 Kč.
It is difficult for me to judge how successful I was with our new menu so please come and try.
